Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem MA/PSS to join the BMC Health - Multispecialty Methuen department. The role supports clinical and administrative operations in the ambulatory setting, prepping patients, taking vitals, entering data into EMR, and assisting providers during visits.

The position is part time and requires the ability to handle scheduling, patient communications, and basic clinic tasks, with vaccine administration and routine room readiness included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Education from approved medical assistant program is preferred.
• One to three years of medical assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and prepares the patient for the provider visit.
• Takes vital signs and records data into EMR.
• Record patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy information, and prescriptions in EMR.
• Obtains required consents and completes forms for visit types.
• Performs office testing and in-office control checks.
• Performs EKGs as ordered.
• Chaperones providers as required.
• Administers vaccines and medications per provider orders.
• Stocks rooms and monitors supply expiration.
• Handles incoming calls, triage and routing.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Medical assistant program education preferred
