Job summary

ACCESS Family Care in Lamar, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Lamar clinic team. This role provides clinical and administrative support, including vitals, injections, immunizations, EKGs, specimen collection, and patient education.

Strong communication and EHR skills are required. Qualifications include MA or LPN diploma/certification, MO licensure for LPN, CMA/RMA preferred, and 2+ years in outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification as Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Certification/licensure: MA CMA or RMA preferred; LPN requires MO state licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 2+ years of clinic or outpatient experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake: vitals, medical history, reason for visit.
• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per orders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, specimen collection, EKGs and other clinical tasks.
• Assist providers with minor procedures and treatments.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments and follow-up care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Support scheduling, referrals and supply management.
