Job summary

Las Cruces Recovery Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct nursing care to residents on-site, under RN supervision. The role involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has an LPN/LVN credential, CPR certification, and at least one year of relevant nursing experience, with knowledge of psychotropic medications and de-escalation techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing Program.
• 1+ years nursing experience in clinical area preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of clients under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Assist in health and psychiatric teaching for client and family.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and document effects.
• Monitor vital signs, ECGs, labs, and glucose; report changes.
• Respond in emergencies and coordinate with medical staff.
• Communicate with departments to ensure quality care.
• Maintain facility policies and safety standards.
