Overview
The Clinical Liaison is a registered RN responsible for maintaining and increasing the use of Good Shepherd Hospice San Antonio in assigned nursing facilities in an ethical and compliant manner.
This role involves providing customer service, education, and inservicing. Effective communication between GSH and partnering facilities is vital for success.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with referral sources in assigned facilities to ensure timely hospice care for eligible patients.
- Assist with admission planning by coordinating with physicians and nursing facilities regarding evaluations, orders, care plans, medications, and necessary records.
- Utilize required technology daily (email, Outlook, CRM).
- Maintain contact and conduct weekly education/in-services as set by the Director, including follow-up with referral sources.
- Provide customer service through informational visits and evaluations with patients and families.
- Support development of growth strategies for the market and company.
- Achieve and exceed goals set by the Directors.
- Promote positive engagement between sales and clinical teams.

- Make clinical decisions under the guidance of medical directors and supervisors, following CMS guidelines.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Build and foster relationships with referral sources and facility staff.
- Maintain positive internal relationships and teamwork within the sales team.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of the assigned program, in good standing.
- Provide evidence of license renewal per GSH policies.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques and market analysis, with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to hospice care philosophy.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis.
- Extensive experience in consultative sales, with knowledge of customers and competition in the region.
- Experience in customer service.
