Description

The Clinical Lead assists in the oversight of clinical support staff and daily operations following established standards and practices.

  • Performs general nursing/clinical support care to patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and aids provider during examinations, procedures, and treatment of patients.
  • Assists in leading clinical staff at each assigned location and is available for any clinical related issues that arise during patient care.
  • In partnership with Clinical Supervisor, assists with training for clinical staff including training staff on proper techniques, clinical protocols, and adherence to organization workflow, policies, and guidelines.
  • Ensures that Women's Carepolicies and clinical guidelines and state and federal regulations are adhered to by all clinical staff.
  • Supports Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager in maintaining compliance of Women's Caredocumentation and reporting guidelines including notifying patients of abnormal results, tracking outstanding orders and referrals, and documenting clinical notes appropriately in the electronic health record.
  • Promotes patient safety including creating a safe clinical environment for patients in accordance with industry standards, certifications, and Women's Carepolicies.
  • Assists with maintenance and inspections of equipment and the sterilization and cleaning of patient areas, equipment, and instruments according to Women's Careguidelines and industry standards.
  • Verifies all required logs are maintained and up to date.
  • Attends required meetings and assists with communication of information to clinical staff as directed by Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager.
  • Inventories supplies and medications and communicates to Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager for ordering.
  • Advises Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager of adverse incidents or patient safety issues and submits incident reports as directed.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • RN or LPN with minimum of 1 year experience OR CMA with minimum 2 years experience in an OBGYN setting AND exemplary clinical skills.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience working with an electronic medical records system, eCW a plus.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
  • Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
  • Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to provide critical thinking skills, solve problems and identify solutions.
  • Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
