Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with an active, unrestricted dental license in North Carolina.
• Several years of general practice experience and a wide, comfortable clinical range.
• The judgment to know when to treat and when to refer.
• The temperament to teach rather than only to correct.
• A record of trust-based patient relationships and teams that stay.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat general dentistry; decide what stays in-house and what is referred.
• Set and uphold the practice's clinical standards and documentation.
• Mentor associate dentists, assistants, and hygienists chairside.
• Review complex treatment plans; support the Treatment Coordinator in presenting them.
• Take part in equipment and materials decisions.
• Keep the practice safe and compliant with federal, state, HIPAA, and OSHA requirements.
