Nest Genomics is transforming how healthcare systems are offering genomic services and bringing them into everyday care. Our platform delivers a turnkey solution to implement genomic-based programs, from patient identification to long term management. Nest is implemented in major health systems and hundreds of clinics across the country, and we’re just getting started.
We’re hiring a Clinical Lead (GC or PhD) to own our clinical content, lead research and publications, and co-drive our grant strategy. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves, providing clinical guidance, working on our platform and with our customers. It’s a great fit for a genetic counselor who wants to expand their skill set and career or a PhD who enjoys building real-world solutions with customers.
How You’ll Contribute
- Own clinical guidelines and content. Track national and society guidelines, keep our content current and up to date. Inform and drive to our AI content strategy from a clinical perspective.
- Be hands-on. Update and write care pathways, respond to customers, join customer calls, review edge cases, and test our platform to make sure it works in the real world.
- Lead research and publications. Define study questions, metrics, and cohorts; collaborate with customers on IRB submissions; write abstracts; manage data pulls with our team; lead the manuscript pipeline; and co-author papers with partners.
- Co-lead grants with the CEO. Shape the grant strategy, draft specific aims and methods, manage timelines and deliverables across sites, handle submissions on the relevant government portals, and help manage budgets.
- Partner with product & engineering. Learn the platform, suggest improvements, validate rules and workflows, and help turn clinical needs into simple product specs.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Background: Board-certified GC or PhD in genetics or a related field.
- Guidelines fluency: Comfortable navigating national and society guidelines and turning them into practical, patient-ready content.
- Hands-on mindset: Willing to own tasks end-to-end—from test ordering and care templates to customer emails and edge-case reviews.
- Research chops: Experience with study design, IRB submissions, data review, and scientific writing; published work is a plus.
- Grants experience: Familiar with NIH (or similar) applications, timelines, and deliverables; able to draft clear aims/methods and keep partners aligned.
- Tech comfort: Ready to learn a new platform quickly and give actionable product feedback.
- Communication: Clear, concise writer who can explain complex topics simply to clinicians and non-experts.
- Teamwork: Collaborative, proactive, and steady under pressure in a fast-moving startup.
Nice to Have
