Centralus Health seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform testing, processing and reporting of specimens onsite in Elmira, NY. The role ensures regulatory readiness and quality standards while supporting patient care across our affiliated facilities.

The candidate will work with laboratory information systems, maintain equipment, and participate in professional development initiatives, contributing to a compliant, high-quality lab environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or related field or equivalent combination with NYSDOE licensing.
• Meets federal and state regulatory requirements for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform laboratory testing, specimen processing, quality control, instrument calibration, maintenance, and result reporting.
• Maintain accreditation and regulatory readiness by adhering to safety, infection prevention, compliance and quality assurance requirements.
• Utilize laboratory information systems to track specimens, document results, and review testing data.
• Troubleshoot testing and equipment issues, document findings, and elevate concerns as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers and healthcare team members; participate in continuing education and competency assessments.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing, specimen processing, quality control, instrument calibration, maintenance, and result reporting while ensuring compliance with established laboratory standards and procedures.
• Maintain accreditation and regulatory readiness by adhering to all laboratory, safety, infection prevention, compliance, and quality assurance requirements.
• Utilize laboratory information systems to accurately track specimens, document results, review testing data, and ensure timely completion of all requested testing.
• Troubleshoot testing and equipment issues, perform corrective actions, document findings, and elevate concerns to leadership when necessary to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and healthcare team members while participating in continuing education, competency assessments, training initiatives, and other departmental responsibilities.

Education

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelors degree, or higher, in clinical laboratory technology (or medical technology) from a program registered by the NYSDOE or determined by the NYSDOE to be substantial equivalent, or have received a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or the physical sciences or the substantial equivalent and also have received an advanced certificate from an accredited clinical laboratory technology program or a program determined by the NYSDOE to be the substantial equivalent in accordance Title 10, NYCRR section 58-1.5. Must have a NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory Technology license or have documentation that an application for a license has been submitted.

Experience

Meets all requirements of federal and state regulations for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with good organizational and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Light to moderate physical effort. Occasional prolonged standing and walking. Typical clinical laboratory environment.

• Onsite - Elmira, NY
• Weekender Full Time

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard Rate of $34.34 - $49.59 per hour plus benefits
