Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school.
• Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred.
• Hospital experience desired.
• Good oral and written communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Establishes/monitors the department's quality control policies.
• Correlates laboratory methods and patient test results with age-specific criteria.
• Establishes and implements service priorities and workflow patterns.
• Evaluates departmental performance and recommends improvements.
