Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Flow Cytometry

Position Overview

Are you an experienced Clinical Lab Professional seeking a new challenge or starting your career in Clinical Lab Science? Labcorp is looking for a Flow Cytometry Technologist in RTP, NC. This role involves working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, contributing to our mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives”.

Work Schedule & Benefits

Schedule: 1st shift, Baylor Friday-Sunday, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Benefits: Employees scheduled for 20+ hours/week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part-time employees working less than 20 hours are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control.
• Manage testing supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment with proper PPE.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.
• At least 1 year of clinical lab testing experience or a MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficiency with computers; familiarity with lab information systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass a color vision test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
