Job description

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday : 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform processing, staining, and cover slipping of various cytology specimens.
• Print Cytology worksheets and collate with slides.
• Document daily performance criteria of reagents and instruments/equipment.
• Perform instrument/equipment maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies and communicate with supervisor for restocking.
• Assist in the accessioning department with grossing cytology specimens.
• Help organize daily workflow and train new personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
• Previous clinical laboratory testing experience is not required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass a standardized color vision screening.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
