Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Core Lab in Dublin, OH. The role features a 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule on weekdays, with responsibilities spanning specimen acceptability, routine and advanced testing, instrument troubleshooting and result reporting to ensure quality patient care.

The candidate should hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or MLS, with 1+ year of lab experience; ASCP/AMT certification and Roche/Beckman instrument experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Experience with Roche or Beckman equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass color blindness test and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Maintain quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with specimen processing and maintain safe work environment.

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Dublin, OH.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• ASCP or AMT certification
• 6 months or more of experience with Roche or Beckman equipment

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
• Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

**Pay Range: $25.85 - $35.00 + Shift Differential

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.
