Position Overview

Are you an experienced Clinical Lab Professional seeking a new challenge or starting your career in Clinical Lab Science? LabCorp is looking to hire for our team at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

This role involves working in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment, aligned with our mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives”.

Work Schedule

2nd shift, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Replenish testing supplies as needed.
• Assist with specimen processing when necessary.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
• Previous clinical lab testing experience preferred.
• Core lab/generalist experience preferred.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Must pass a color vision test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed.
