Baptist Health Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Laboratory Clinical Supervisor for its freestanding EDs in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role supports day shift operations with coverage dependent on departmental needs.

Responsibilities include directing daily laboratory operations, overseeing high-complexity STAT testing, and ensuring CLIA/CAP/JCO/OSHA compliance. You will collaborate with ED leadership to optimize reporting and patient safety across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Lab supervisor license is required.
• 5+ years of Histology laboratory experience preferred.
• 5+ years of Medical Technologist experience preferred.
• Progressive management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily clinical laboratory operations across freestanding ED locations.
• Oversees high-complexity STAT testing and point-of-care procedures.
• Ensures CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and OSHA compliance across sites.
• Monitors instrument calibration, QC logs, and turnaround times.
• Collaborates with ED medical directors and nursing leadership to optimize reporting and patient safety.

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Laboratory Clinical Supervisor for our Freestanding EDs located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full Time position working day shift hours and hours could vary dependent upon the departmental needs within the system.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily clinical laboratory operations, workflow, and quality assurance across multiple freestanding emergency department locations, ensuring continuous coverage and rapid-response diagnostic testing.
• Oversees high-complexity STAT laboratory testing, point-of-care testing, hematology, chemistry, and blood bank procedures to support urgent and emergency patient throughput.
• Ensures full compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards across all float coverage sites, managing proficiency testing, equipment validation, and site audit preparedness.
• Monitors instrument calibration, quality control logs, and turnaround times, providing on-site clinical guidance, technical troubleshooting, and competency evaluations for laboratory staff.
• Collaborates closely with freestanding ED medical directors, emergency physicians, and nursing leadership to optimize critical value reporting, streamline STAT lab workflows, and champion patient safety.
