Job summary

Arkansas Children's in Springdale, AR, is seeking a Part-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support the CC094071 Lab. The role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests to aid diagnosis and treatment, with emphasis on sample preparation and result documentation.

This position is safety sensitive, tobacco-free workplace, vaccines required, and requires ASCP MLT certification within one year; an Associate Degree or equivalent experience is required, while a Bachelor's degree is

Qualifications

• Assists with research, development, and/or validation of new policies, procedures and/or instruments.
• Manages stock levels, rotation, and monitors expiration.
• Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results.
• Prepares and manages specimens for analysis, refers results to Pathology, correlates results and communicates and documents findings.
• Performs Manual Result Review and proficiency testing.
• Performs maintenance procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment.
