Job summary

Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician for the CC094071 Lab. The position involves supporting a variety of lab procedures and data recording to aid diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree or equivalent experience; a Bachelor's degree is recommended; MLT certification must be obtained within one year. This role is safety sensitive and located in Springdale, AR.

Responsibilities

• Assists with research, development, and/or validation of new policies, procedures and/or instruments.
• Manages stock levels, rotation, and monitors expiration.
• Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results.
• Prepares and manages specimens for analysis, refers results to Pathology, correlates results and communicates and documents findings.
• Performs Manual Result Review and proficiency testing.
• Performs maintenance procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
