Job summary

Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center seeks a qualified Medical Technologist/CLS to perform comprehensive laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance in a full-time capacity. The role includes evening and weekend shifts, with rotation across weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or AS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and MT/CLS boards (or eligibility), with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification in MT/CLS or eligible (MT/CLS Boards).
• 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy, testing, specimen storage and retrieval.
• Maintains quality control, proficiency testing, and instrument maintenance.
• Participates in weekend, evening and holiday rotation.
• Contributes to R&D of new instruments and tests.

Job description

Job Duties

Performs all laboratory services with specific accountabilities in the following functions: phlebotomy, testing, specimen and result storage and retrieval, quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and research and development of new instruments and tests. Participates in weekend, evening and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science - Medical Technology or Associates of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science - Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent and has successfully completed and passed the Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Boards. ASCP (or equivalent) or eligible. 1 year experience preferred.

Shift Schedule

Full-Time, Friday-Sunday, 6:00pm-6:00am, weekend program differential of $10.00, plus shift differential
