Job summary

You will contribute to assay development, optimize test workflows and educate CGMBS trainees while collaborating with genetic counselors, variant scientists, and bioinformaticians. This role supports disease detection, diagnosis and treatment within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Current California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license or Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate human, viral and microbial genomes and the products they encode using advanced laboratory techniques.
• Collaborate with clinicians, genetic counselors, variant scientists and bioinformaticians involved in in-house molecular testing.
• Contribute to assay development, improve test workflows and educate CGMBS trainees.
