Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health science program or medical laboratory science; 5 years of relevant work experience can substitute an earned degree.
• Must hold or obtain Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license under Florida Statute 61F-5 within 90 days of hire. Limited scope applies until licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Follow hospital and laboratory policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols.
• May assume charge duties in absence of the Supervisor.
