Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Washington is seeking an MLS to perform waived to high complexity testing across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases. The role focuses on quality control, instrument maintenance, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced clinical setting in Tacoma.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, MLS/CLS certification within 6 months of hire, and strong customer service and communication skills. You will support data entry, method evaluations, and teaching as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent clinical laboratory experience as a MLS or MLS program graduate.
• Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
• Must obtain MLS/MT certification within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Two years of generalist MLS/MT experience and MLS/MT certification by date of hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Testing and processing across waived to high complexity testing per laboratory procedures.
• Computer data entry and retrieval of results.
• Serve as technical resource to laboratory customers and update procedures as needed.
• Oversee/participate in performance improvement activities and method evaluations.
