Job summary

Qualifications

• ASCP certification, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or highly complex tests as authorized by CLIA and follow procedures precisely.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document corrective actions when tests deviate.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor or director as needed.
• Perform a wide variety of lab procedures across multiple disciplines with independent judgment.
• Maintain instruments and equipment daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed.
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to release and reporting.
