Responsibilities:

• Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy and accountability for results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated laboratory instruments, performing preventive maintenance and corrective actions as needed.
• Manage quality control procedures, evaluate data, document findings, and communicate relevant information to supervisors.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost, and revenue considerations.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects by developing plans, coordinating resources, setting timelines, and reporting progress to management.

Minimum Education and Experience:

A. High school diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of clinical lab experience.

OR

B. Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of clinical lab experience.

C. Bachelor's Degree required; clinical lab experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

Certification in one of the following is required: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), CLT(NCA), MLT(ASCP), or MLT(AMT). Certification is waived for those with 5 years of lab experience.
