Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I for the Bartow Medical Center. This part-time role involves performing essential diagnostic testing and quality control procedures while maintaining laboratory systems and equipment. The successful candidate will have at least an Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, a Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, and four months of clinical laboratory experience. The position offers various benefits including medical coverage and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related scientific field.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field.
• Required: State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
• Required: Minimum of four months Clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures.
• Prepare reagents and accurately report laboratory results.
• Review and oversee moderate-to-high-complexity testing.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications.
• Maintain equipment, instruments, and supply inventory.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively within the laboratory and across clinical teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
