Qualifications

• No prior professional lab experience required for MLS I.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived/point of care, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing as appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, and monitor test accuracy and precision.
• Prepare reagents and assist in preparing standard and control materials.
• Monitor inventory and assist with lab supplies maintenance.
• Review results for accuracy and timely corrections.
• Report results and consult with healthcare providers as needed.
• Participate in education/training of new staff and learners.
• Serve as a technical resource; work independently or under direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
