Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in Mountain View. The CLS will perform laboratory testing to support diagnosis and treatment while adhering to laboratory policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety.

The role may involve assisting in instrument evaluation, process improvements, accreditation maintenance, and training interns/new staff. Weekend/holiday rotation and enterprise-wide shift availability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent is required.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license is required.
• Must be available to work weekends on a rotational basis and holidays.
• Available enterprise-wide and other shifts occasionally as needed for work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, reliable, and timely laboratory testing to provide information to physicians and other healthcare professionals for diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow Laboratory policies and procedures to ensure test quality and safety.
• Assist in evaluation/selection of instrumentation, process improvement, and maintaining accreditation.
