Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Laboratory Sciences.
• State of Nevada license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory.
• ASCP or AMT or equivalent certification.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs various chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopic, serology/Immunology, molecular testing, bacteriology, and blood bank testing to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Is thoroughly familiar with the calibration, use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Draws venous and capillary blood, and performs drug screen collections according to protocol.
• Performs quality control, preventative maintenance, makes independent decisions, interprets abnormal results, and pursues appropriate follow-up action when variance from the norm.
• Works together with lab and other department staff to create a smooth workflow.
