You will manage specimen processing, instrument calibration, LIS operations, safety logs, and assist in training students and staff while delivering accurate test outcomes and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Orders and processes laboratory requests in accordance with established procedures.
• Assists in ordering, maintaining, and restocking of supplies; disinfects and maintains organized work environment.
• Utilizes Laboratory Information Systems as appropriate.
• Performs calibration of instruments, and validation of instruments and/or procedures; performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitors daily safety checks and temp logs.
• Performs microbiology and immunology tests, as needed.
• Performs transfusion services functions, including ABO and Rh typing, antibody screening, and crossmatching entering results accurately into computer.
• Assists in student, resident and fellow lectures and training.
