Job summary

Dignity Health Woodland Memorial Hospital in Woodland, CA is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to perform complex diagnostic tests across hematology, chemistry and microbiology. You will operate and maintain instruments, analyze specimens, report results, and uphold quality control and regulatory compliance to ensure timely, accurate patient diagnoses.

The role requires a California CLS license and a biology-focused bachelor’s degree, with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological science and current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist License is required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures maintaining accuracy, precision, and meeting department time frames.
• Reports and interprets lab results accurately meeting turnaround time expectations.
• Maintains reagents, supplies, and equipment for the department.
• Assist with the ordering, collecting and processing of laboratory specimens when needed.
• Performs projects and writes policies/procedures or reports within the given time frame.
• Documents and/or gathers data as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be a critical diagnostic expert, performing complex laboratory tests to ensure accurate, timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment.Every day, you will execute a wide range of analytical procedures across various lab disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.). You'll analyze specimens, operate/maintain instruments, interpret results, and conduct quality control, providing crucial data for clinical decisions.To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong scientific foundation, advanced technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Your paramount commitment will be to accuracy and regulatory adherence.

Required

• Bachelors Other Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a biological science, meeting current licensure with the State of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
