Job summary

As a Clinical Lab Scientist at Dignity Health Woodland Memorial Hospital, you will be a critical diagnostic expert, performing complex laboratory tests to ensure accurate, timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment.

You will work across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and other disciplines, operate and maintain instruments, interpret results, and support quality control and regulatory adherence in a busy laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological science required.
• Current California CLS license required.
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical lab procedures across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments and analyzers.
• Analyzes specimens and reports results within turnaround times.
• Performs quality control and data interpretation for clinical decisions.
• Maintains reagents, supplies, and equipment for the department.
• Documents data and assists with policy/procedure development as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be a critical diagnostic expert, performing complex laboratory tests to ensure accurate, timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Every day, you will execute a wide range of analytical procedures across various lab disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.). You'll analyze specimens, operate/maintain instruments, interpret results, and conduct quality control, providing crucial data for clinical decisions.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong scientific foundation, advanced technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Your paramount commitment will be to accuracy and regulatory adherence.

• Performs technical procedures maintaining accuracy, precision, and meeting department time frames.
• Reports and interprets lab results accurately meeting turnaround time exceptions.
• Maintains reagents, supplies, and equipment for the department.
• Assist with the ordering, collecting and processing of laboratory specimens when needed.
• Performs projects and writes policies/procedures or reports, within time frame given.
• Documenting and/or gathering data as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Other Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a biological science, meeting current licensure with the State of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
