Position: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Shift Schedule: NOC (22:30 - 07:00) and PM (14:00 - 22:30), 5 X 8s, 40 hrs/Week

Location: Upland, CA

Start date: 10/20/2025 - 01/17/2026 (12 weeks)

Pay: $50 to $55 depending on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our team at our Upland facility. The CLS will perform a variety of complex laboratory tests to assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease. This role requires accuracy, strong technical skills, and adherence to established laboratory policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and other areas as assigned.
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of test results by following quality control procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare specimens, reagents, and solutions for analysis.
  • Document and report test results promptly and accurately in the LIS (Laboratory Information System).
  • Adhere to CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers regarding test results.
  • Maintain laboratory safety and infection control standards.
  • Train and guide laboratory assistants, technicians, or students when necessary.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience.
  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred (hospital or reference lab setting).
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
