Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist in Grass Valley, CA to perform complex diagnostic tests and ensure accurate, timely results for patient care. Qualifications

• California Clinical Lab Scientist license required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze various samples in all departments of the Laboratory, following standard procedures.
• Assess the validity of results according to age and sex, accurately record and report results.
• Document problems in the Laboratory and solve and/or suggest corrective action(s).
• Perform routine calibration and adjustment of equipment, check standardization curves.
• Receive or obtain specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Perform and assess quality control with each test to verify accuracy and reproducibility of tests; if out of control, take corrective action.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be a critical diagnostic expert, performing complex laboratory tests to ensure accurate, timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Every day you will execute a wide range of analytical procedures across various lab disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.). You'll analyze specimens, operate and maintain instruments, interpret results, and conduct quality control, providing crucial data for clinical decisions.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong scientific foundation, advanced technical proficiency, exceptional problem‑solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Your paramount commitment will be to accuracy and regulatory adherence.
