The Clinical Laboratory Associate will be responsible for specimen receipt, accessioning, specimen returns, reference lab send-outs, and other lab support processes in a Clinical Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

1. Receives and opens clinical packages to prepare the order for testing.
2. Identifies order/specimen problems and collaborates with Client Services and other departments for resolution.
3. Performs data entry of patient orders into the laboratory information system (LIS).
4. Handles specimen returns and send-outs to reference laboratories.
5. Performs routine laboratory support activities.
6. Follows laboratory procedures and complies with CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
7. Performs clerical and administrative functions as directed by laboratory management.
8. Work schedule may be modified as needed.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of data entry experience
• Medical background or laboratory experience
• Detail-oriented with excellent typing skills
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Training on HIPAA, safety procedures, and other relevant protocols.

The annual base salary range is $41,600 - $62,400, bonus eligible. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, location, education, and market conditions.
