Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm (flexible to alter schedule, per operational and training needs)

Position: Clinical Laboratory Assistant I

This role is responsible for receiving and entering patient and specimen information into the computer system, labeling, and distributing specimens to all technical sections. It also involves preparing and manifesting send-outs to UW, ensuring proper documentation and handling.

You Will:

  • Receive, sort, and document incoming samples.
  • Assess and accession laboratory specimens.
  • Data entry and scan requisition images.
  • Assist with send-outs.
  • Provide support services for other departments, clients, and pathologists.
  • Perform quality control data entry.
  • Adhere to HIPAA patient confidentiality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology.
  • Previous data entry experience and attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to pass a standardized blind test for onboarding.

Pay Range: $16.69 - $23.36 USD per hour

The listed amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses may be available. New hire offers typically fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on experience (DOE), with potential for growth within the range over time.
