Clinical Laboratory Assistant I; M-F, 0800-1630 Rotating Saturdays

Join Arkansas Children's as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant I. This full-time position is based in our CC094071 Lab.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specimen collection, processing, receiving, and distribution.
  • Collect and process blood specimens.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and support lab assistance to the call center.
  • Assist hospital personnel with draw orders, volumes, and difficult draws.
  • Train phlebotomists and coordinate testing and documentation.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, stocking, and equipment cleaning.
  • Support department updates and review of requisitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Required certifications include one of the following: CMLA, NCMSMLA, NRCMA, PBT, or Registered Medical Assistant.
