• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• ASCP certification or registry eligibility within first year of employment.

• Prepare specimens for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Conduct specialized laboratory tests and administer quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot quality control errors and instrument issues.
• maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and perform preventive maintenance.
• Communicate technical information to medical and lay personnel.
• Assist with training and continuing education of laboratory staff.
• Recognize normal and abnormal values and adhere to Standards of Behavior.
