Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join the team at Ascension St. John Owasso Hospital in Owasso, OK. This per diem role focuses on specimen acceptability, testing, and accurate reporting in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science (or MLS) and at least 1 year of lab testing experience; ASCP/AMT are preferred. Flexibility for overtime or varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex testing per SOPs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with processing of specimens and maintain safety protocols.
