Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital invites you to join its Microbiology laboratory team. This 591-bed facility, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, seeks a candidate to perform routine and special tests in Pathology and Lab Medicine with independent judgment.

The role is a full-time day/evening shift, 4:00pm–12:00am, with flexibility to cover day shifts 8:00am–4:00am as needed, including rotating weekends/holidays. A competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent is required unless grandfathered in by life experience.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire for Trainee capacity.
• ASCP credential is preferred.
• Proficient computer literacy and strong communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special tests in Pathology and Lab Medicine.
• Make independent judgments in test execution and interpretation.
• Work rotating day/evening shifts, including weekends/holidays as needed.
