Job summary

UF Health seeks a skilled MLS/Medical Technologist to perform a wide range of laboratory procedures essential for patient care. The role requires operating advanced analyzers, making independent reporting judgments, and maintaining rigorous quality control data.

The candidate will evaluate new techniques and equipment, and may instruct students and staff while collaborating with nursing and health care practitioners to ensure excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field.
• Florida Technologist License in appropriate area(s).
• ASCP MT/MLS certification preferred (MT Certification ABHI CHS/CHT).
• One year experience in MLS NAACLS approved program or hospital laboratory as Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex laboratory analyzers to provide critical data for treatment and diagnosis.
• Make independent judgment decisions in reporting normal and abnormal results.
• Perform and analyze quality control data.
• Evaluate and research new techniques or equipment.
