Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related discipline required.

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for testing and performs routine laboratory tests.
• Performs quality control and maintenance procedures.
• Recognizes computer data problems and troubleshoots laboratory instruments.
• Communicates technical information to medical and lay persons.
• Assists with training laboratory personnel in routine procedures.
• Participates in continuing education and adheres to Standards of Behavior.
