Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach County seeks a licensed medical technologist to join our clinical laboratory. You will perform, interpret and report tests on blood and body fluids, maintaining competency and supporting department leadership.

This role requires Florida licensure, ASCP or equivalent preferred, and proficiency with instrumentation and Microsoft Office. You will help ensure quality control, instrument maintenance, and collaboration across shifts while training new staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a medical technologist in Florida.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to correlate results from multiple tests and relate to patient treatment.
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets and reports clinical laboratory diagnostic tests on blood and body fluids.
• Maintains competency in licensed areas with flexibility to perform testing as needed.
• Ensures continuous operation of testing analyzers and laboratory equipment through quality control and calibrations.
• Cognizant ability to correlate results from a variety of tests and relate to treatment of patient.
• Participates in evaluation, implementation and validation of new equipment and techniques.
• Assists in orientation and training of new team members.
