Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform, interpret and report clinical laboratory tests across blood and body fluids in a fast-paced environment in Palm Beach County. You will ensure analyzer operation, quality control, and preventive maintenance, while participating in new equipment validation and staff training.

Collaboration with leadership is essential. Applicants should hold Florida licensure, with AA/AS or BS preferred and ASCP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a medical technologist in Florida.
• AA/AS or BS degree preferred.
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret and report clinical laboratory diagnostic tests on blood and body fluids.
• Maintain competency in licensed areas with flexibility to perform testing as needed.
• Ensure continuous operation of testing analyzers and equipment via quality control and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate service as necessary.
• Participate in evaluation, implementation and validation of new equipment and techniques.
• Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and reagents; place orders as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and protect patient confidentiality.
