Job summary

Labcorp in Dublin, OH is seeking a Technologist to join our team. The role focuses on accurate specimen testing, instrument operation, and troubleshooting to ensure quality patient results.

Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 9:30am–6:00pm. Qualified candidates have a science degree and clinical lab experience; MLS/ASCP certification preferred. Labcorp offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• MLS degree or equivalent clinical laboratory testing experience; ASCP/AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
