Night Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

Follow laboratory procedures for pre-analytic and analytic procedures (specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting) and maintain records of test examinations. Maintain records demonstrating that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Adhere to the laboratory’s safety and quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and/or procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. Document all corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance specifications.

Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic testing for designated sections in the laboratory. Utilize standard and specialized techniques, and various equipment and instrumentation to complete testing. Be responsible for reporting the results of the tests. Apply technical skills and knowledge to facilitate patient care by providing timely and accurate results.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Medical Technology or Science required.
• NYSED License required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Clinical Laboratory preferred, including completion of an ASCP education program.
• Some experience using computers for data entry.

Schedule: Nights with every weekend and holidays; 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Salary Range: $48.261/hr - $59.415/hr
