Job summary

Mid America Cancer Care Centers is seeking a Laboratory Technician responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, phlebotomy, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. You will perform manual and automated routine blood tests and prepare specimens for microscope examination.

Operate centrifuges, hematology analyzers, and point-of-care analyzers; maintain logs and ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School education is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a lab setting.
• National lab certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated routine blood tests.
• Prepare specimens for microscope examination.
• Operate centrifuges, hematology analyzers, and point-of-care analyzers.
• Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Maintain logs and documentation to ensure compliance with policies.
