• Matches patient info on specimens with work documents to avoid errors.
• Consults supervisor for assignments and follows through to completion.
• Completes patient and quality control procedures within defined time limits.
• Interprets patient and quality control samples (normal or abnormal).
• Takes action according to protocol.
• Documents maintenance and corrective actions taken.
• Prioritizes STAT workload according to protocol.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and keeps area stocked.
• Practices infection control for patient and staff safety.
