Job summary

Evolution Research Group in Miami, FL is seeking a Lab Assistant to perform clinical and pharmacokinetic specimen collection and processing for Phase 1 trials, mainly healthy volunteers. Duties include assisting the Lab Manager with samples, with occasional clerical/data-entry tasks. Hours vary and may require weekends or early/late shifts.

The role emphasizes safety and accuracy in handling specimens and complying with GCP/ICH guidelines. Training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Technician certification or at least 6 months phlebotomy experience.
• Clinical Research experience preferred but not required.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel; Study Manager).

Responsibilities

• Monitor urine collection temperatures and 24-hour collections.
• Maintain clean, stocked sample collection area.
• Notify staff of abnormal results or incidents.
• Act as courier to Pharmacokinetic lab for specimens.
• Label PK/PD collection tubes.
• Ensure participant comfort and safety during shifts.
• Perform safety lab requisitions and sample send-outs.
• Role may expand to meet organizational needs.
