Job summary

Healthier Mississippi People seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to support diagnostic testing and sample collection in a clinical setting. You will perform routine laboratory tests across hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, and urinalysis, ensuring accurate results and adherence to aseptic practices.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, maintaining equipment, and promoting safety and infection control.

Qualifications

Collects, processes, and handles blood and/or other specimens per procedures.
Performs tests in hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, and urinalysis.
Maintains and analyzes body fluids including blood, urine, and spinal fluid as assigned.

Responsibilities

Collects, processes, and handles blood and/or other biological specimens.
Conducts clinical laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis.
Conducts chemical analysis of body fluids.
Performs transfusion-related blood tests.
Develops and maintains cell/tissue cultures for testing.
Prepares volumetric solutions and reagents.
Sets up, adjusts, maintains, and cleans equipment; promotes safety and infection control.
Performs other duties as assigned.
