Job summary

Labcorp in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Lab Assistant to support routine specimen processing and data entry in a fast-paced laboratory setting. You will receive and sort clinical specimens, prepare for testing, run basic instrument checks, and maintain safe, clean work areas while following SOPs.

The schedule is Tue–Sat, 8:00am–4:30pm, with overtime as needed. Minimum qualifications include a High school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months or more specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
