Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Specialist to provide hands-on support for patient and manufacturing testing. You will perform immunohematology and molecular tests, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to validation and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field
• ASCP/CLS certification or equivalent is a plus
• Entry-level role; up to 12 months experience in a clinical/research lab is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Performs tests on samples using approved methods and instruments
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workplace
• Ensures proper PPE handling and logs incoming materials
• Keeps competencies up-to-date and aligns CE with competencies
• Conducts high-/mid-complexity and simple routine tests
• Transfers data accurately and generates electronic reports for review
• Performs LIS accessioning and signs off test completion in LIS
• Escalates issues to management and communicates results to clients
• Assists with training and competency assessments of staff
• Adheres to SOPs, quality systems, cGMP and regulatory guidelines
• Participates in method validation and data summarization
• Performs equipment annual calibrations and mgmt of quality metrics
• Supports deviation reporting and CAPA entries in MediaLab
• Maintains CE credits per laboratory policy
