Job summary

Qualifications

Fluent English communication, both oral and written.
Basic computer skills including email and IT navigation.
Ability to stay flexible and adapt quickly to urgent situations.
Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, and techniques to job requirements.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Current ASCP MLS licensure.
Vaccinations per DRH policy; accommodations may be requested.
Respirator and fit testing as required.

Responsibilities

Ensure patient specimens are resulted accurately and on time per protocol and report results.
Maintain records, read and comply with policies, and keep maintenance logs.
Follow quality control procedures and report discrepancies to supervisor.
Perform instrument maintenance and calibration; troubleshoot when needed.
Maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with patients and staff.
Communicate unresolved problems to the manager for resolution.
Attend educational conferences to stay updated on lab methods and policies.
Keep work area clean and dispose of biohazards properly.
Assist with inventory and stocking as needed.
Adhere to safety and universal precautions and DRH policies.
